User on all of our domain workstations and then disable the old one and then I am currently planning a project to create a new Local admin Find local user on workstations Programming & Development. For us this is not an option as they are too permissive to use in our environment. You may want to try restoring the default firewall policies to see if that helps. Some suggested changing the firewall profile, which in turn changes the rule set. But depending on your local firewall policies, perhaps it allowed Edge to go out. I suspect the IPv6 thing mentioned by others is a red herring. This one will probably take MS a while to figure out. So it looks like there are multiple problems at play. Additionally users were unable to sign into Office apps which impacted their ability so sync office docs with their OneDrive. However Edge is broken as is the Windows store app. But the firewall log was clearly recording dropped packets to destination port 443. This is despite our having group policy firewall rules that allow TCP and UDP out on port 443 to any destination. After some additional troubleshooting I found the Windows Firewall was blocking outbound traffic on port 443. I completely uninstalled Sophos and then the problem with Edge not working returned. They have released a fast publish KB article on it here. I opened a ticket with Sophos and they were able to reproduce the failure. I was able to get Edge working by disabling our antivirus's web filtering feature. That would be across our entire domain of over 200 workstations. We have TCP IPv6 enabled, (IPv4 preferred via registry) and it's still broken. ![]()
